Guide to Social Media
The most important tool for letting people know about your show is social media. Here’s a little comparison chart to let you see how well your campaign is going compared to the other show’s in the festival. As a rule of thumb – and it is by no means an exact science – we see social media shares equate to about a 25% conversion rate for sales – So if you generated 100 shares you’d see about 25 sales.
Obviously just spamming social media with your event link wont have much effect – so find a good reason – post a status update about how rehearsals are going, tweet a photo of your new piece of set, upload a video – above all be creative. Between now and the festival everyone in your company should be finding a reason to share your event link at least once every single day.
